5 things to Expect from Tonight's Raw

Tonight it appears we have a stacked episode RAW on our hands. There are many questions to be answered on storyline progression, and many appearances also. Here are five things to expect from tonight's episode of Raw.

What's next for Seth Rollins?

Last week we saw Seth Rollins stomp Dean Ambrose's head through a pile of cinder blocks. This was done to take Dean Ambrose off of TV so he can go film his movie Lockdown. But, considering it takes a month or two to film a movie, this doesn't mean Seth Rollins will be off of TV also. Tonight we will see what WWE has in store for Seth Rollins up until Ambrose makes his return. As I touched recently in my Q & A podcast, there are two routes you can go with Seth Rollins. One possible route is a very simple one, WWE can have Seth Rollins just keep defeating jobbers on Raw and SmackDown without any storyline. I would be against this route considering Seth Rollins will lose a lot of momentum by not being involved in an actual storyline. Another possible route is have Seth Rollins go into a feud with Roman Reigns. Last week it didn't seem as if Reigns was locked in a storyline yet, so it would make sense if Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns were put together. They are former partners, Reigns and Ambrose are still good friends in storyline, and Reigns has touched that he is letting Dean have Seth Rollins first. It doesn't have to completely throw Randy Orton out of the picture either, considering many are speculating on Roman Reigns vs. Triple H at Hell in a Cell, Roman Reigns could just have a feud with The Authority. It could be Kane, Randy Orton, and Seth Rollins all going in a feud with Reigns. So then at Night of Champions, you could have a 3 on 1 handicap match to set up Reigns vs. Triple H at Hell in a Cell.

WWE Legends

WWE has announced tonight's Raw will kick off with a Hall of Fame Forum including Shawn Michaels, Ric Flair, and Hulk Hogan. These three legends will be talking about John Cena's scheduled rematch with Brock Lesnar at Night of Champions. We can expect Hulk Hogan to do most of the talking, Ric Flair randomly Wooing, and Shawn Michaels to touch on Triple H. Also, we can expect an interruption by Paul Heyman. Considering Brock Lesnar isn't scheduled to appear in Anaheim tonight we will see Paul Heyman progressing the storyline instead.

What's next for The Bella Twins' Feud?

At SummerSlam, we saw Nikki turn on her sister Brie starting a feud between the two twins. We can expect some more bad mic work and a very boring storyline. There is only one thing that can keep this feud remotely interesting, and her name is Stephanie McMahon. That is the big question, will the billionaire princess stay in the Bella Twins' rivalry. If not, we can expect one of the worst feuds in 2014. I am not knocking The Bella Twins, I just don't think they can cut a promo and get the fans interested, but, Stephanie McMahon can. Stephanie needs to stay in the storyline so she can be on the mic rather than The Bella Twins.

How will John Cena cut his promo?

Brock Lesnar squashed John Cena in fashion none of us were expecting. Tonight, Cena is scheduled to address what happened at SummerSlam. By no means am I saying to expect a heel turn, but expect to see the more aggressive John Cena tonight. Cena will give push his normal "Never Give Up" promo and how he will win the title back at Night of Champions. One question is if Cena will be alone this whole segment, or will Paul Heyman make an interruption? Considering the legends are kicking off Raw, and this is what WWE is promoting the most for tonight, expect this segment to go last. Unless WWE makes a big match for tonight, I can't see this promo going in the middle of the show considering how much they've been promoting it this last week.

Brock Lesnar's Backstage Segments

It was reported last week that Brock Lesnar filmed some backstage segments in Las Vegas for weeks to come considering he is not at every Raw. I like this because he is the WWE WorldHeavyweight Champion, and we should see him on Raw every week. Although they are pre-taped, we still get better storyline progression because of it. It is not confirmed that we will see any of these segments tonight, but the probability of them being on tonight's show is high.
